A somber Christmas?? Full moon square Saturn within a degree, Sun squares Saturn, ---best have your parties a few days ahead when Venus and Neptune conjoin. Mars trine Jupiter by dec. equivalents and Mercury parallel Jupiter means excellent traveling though!!!!
Mercury out of Bounds until the 20th of December (since November 21) and THEN, it goes Retrograde on the 23rd!!!! Let's just not ***THINK**** about it!!!
For those just learning to convert declinations to longitude notice that it appears that Venus would be parallel both Mercury and Jupiter, with all three at 21S declination, but after conversion we see that Venus vibrates at 25Cap 39 while Jupiter and Mercury are lagging behind at 21 Cap.

Declinations And Earthquakes
from Thomas Seers

For the record, in studying Earthquakes I have found Mercury to be the strongest KEY, Venus comes second. On 11/12/1996 with Mercury in parallel with Uranus/Neptune and Moon/Sun Parallel there were two major quakes one in Alaska 7.4 in the early morning, 6.4 in Peru at noon time.
In the timing of Earthquakes using declinations I have been led to believe man's determination of time leaves a lot to be desired. I haven't put my finger on it yet, but there is a three minute< discrepancies in time calculation and the cause eludes me.
I wrote this just so there is a record of what I've been doing for about 5 yrs now. TheVenus/Mercury keys I got from Beth Hughes who lives in Oceanside, CA and used to be on Prodigy and I helped her a lot with horary charts. I want her to have credit also, she wasn't well and may not be around. She is an Aquarian.
Just in case some says it doesn't work:

FROM THE DESK OF DR. DEMENTIA:
MIDPOINTS AND DECLINATIONS
Interesting to me always, is that Ebertin uses declination midpoints in his work. To derive the midpoint via declination he applies basically the same rules that are applied when calculating the midpoint in zodiacal longitude. However, the longitude goes from 0 to 360 degrees and declination subdivides itself into North and South declination. This complicates things for those who are not visual. I'll try to provide an example.

If you look at a planet - Say the Sun - and it is at 22N17 by declination and the Moon is at 18S08 degrees by declination, finding the midpoint could become a matter for panic . . . don't despair. If you visualize a circle with half of it South and the other half North and then place your points on it - ah, remember in the tropical zodiac that the circle starts at 0 Aries reaches apex and nadir at 0 Capricorn and 0 Cancer and ends at 0 Libra - this is the same in declination. On the apex and nadir the story is just a little different. The zero Cap and Cancer points correspond to 23 degrees and 27.5 minutes North or South. Now, simply place the points on the map and then visually locate the midpoint.

. . . . .. . . . . 23 S 27.5
. . . . . . . . . . . . .|
. . . 18 S 08 ____ 18 S 08

0 N 00__ . . . . . . . . .__ 0 S 00

. . . .22 N 17 ____ 22 N 17
. . . . . . . . . . . . .|
. . . . . . . . . 23 N 27.5

In the Case above, the midpoint falls more to the North than the South... the midpoint is actually a simple subtraction in this case.
22 N 17 minus 18 S 08 = 4 N 09.

If someone's natal Uranus were at 4 N 09 (Dates for this are 1950, 56,57, 62,63,68,69 etc) then they too would have Uranus = Sun / Moon. This is a parallel and if you read what the traditional astrologers have to say about a parallel you will find some who believe it to be stronger than a conjunction. Certainly the majority agree that a parallel is a very unique blend of energy.

Munkasey says of this planetary picture, and I quote:
"Setting yourself aside from the ordinary or mundane; applying ingenuity to complete goals or create new ways of revealing old ideas; unusual twists of fate; the use of astrological ideas or methods.
ANOTHER METHOD
If you have a graph grid, make one side of your graph go from 30N to 0 to 30S and draw a line halfway along the 0 axis. Plot your midpoints. I've given examples of two of my own here. Courtesy of Kt Boehrer's conversion method, I am showing what their longitudinal equivalent is with the graph to the right. It is hard to show but you need to imagine that the planets seem to move quickly as they approach the solstice points. If you note, this represents a point that differs in longitude from it's non-declination longitude on the tropical zodiac providing insight into where the action is on the ecliptic.

Declination ................ - .......... Longitudinal Equivalent
Moon......25S04 .......... - .......... 20CP55
Sun..........08S13............ - ..........21LI03
Jup..........21N56.......... - .......... 09GE49
Su/Mo.....16S38............ - ..........16SC00
Su/Ju........06N52 .......... - ..........12VI31

My orb is wider than a degree here, but using this method, the Su/Mo by declination is parallel to my Ascendent. The Su/Ju midpoint is parallel to my Mars. (Ma = Su/Ju, Asc = Su/Mo. Asc = 17S28, Mars = 5N32) There seems to be some controversy regarding the calculation of these points.
To be sure, I am using Ebertin's method for the location of the declination midpoint.
Below is a graph which makes more sense on graph paper, but if you use your imagination here you can picture what is going on. The position off to the right is the position of the Sun when it is at the same declination.
Note also that even though a planet passes through Gemini and Sagittarius, it does not show on a graph this scale because it enters Sag and Gemini just beyond the 20N/S degree and the ecliptic ends at 23d N/S 27.5'. For more information on the out-of-bounds calculations, you may wish to order Kt's book or order my program.

CAPTAIN KIRKS COUCH:
Looking to the February forecast, with 9 of the ten bodies at 5 degrees zodiacal sometime during the month, we know there is a lot of energy going on. Mars stations at 5' 55' LIBRA , Jupiter and Uranus have a conjunction at 5 AQUARIUS, Pluto is at 5 SAG, and Saturn is at 5 ARIES. And of course, the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Moon all get into the act at 5 ' too sometime during the month. Poor lonely Neptune may feel left out!! Look at the Saturn transit at that time. Mars at its station trines the JU/UR conjunction and opposes Saturn. Saturn trines PLuto.
We have an anomaly right now with Saturn in Aries: Aries as a sign is a South declination usually, but Saturn is vibrating in the North declination since the shift the end of August. This continues until Saturn shifts once more from No to South in mid February, when it ALSO crosses it's station point (a few weeks later).
Whenever we move towards N from S we must cross the Aries/Libra axis, the line of the Sun at the times of the equinoxes, the changes of seasons when we are midway between the extremes of heat and cold. The spring equinox is a time when we plant, the fall period is when we harvest. N to S is seeding time, S to N is reaping time.
My further view on this is that when a planet or body hovers near 0' of declination it is near a power point and has more energy on the material world of substance. The 0' declination point is the point along the celestial equator that marks the change of seasons. As does the 23' 27.5" points of the solstices. These are all Cardinal points: 0' Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn.
So, take this a step further and notice Saturn, though at 5' 56" zodiacal degrees Aries in late August, crossed the ecliptic and shifted it's declination at 0' Aries.(Make a note:same degree as Mars station in February) 0' declination equates to 0' Aries/Libra. Saturn was at both at 5'56" and 0' Aries then. This is the premise behind converting declination to longitude.
The shift in February will reflect this once more as the change in declination occurs w/ Saturn at 5' 13" Aries. Yet again, this equates to 0' Aries, a power point. yet again, this reinforces the previous Saturn
station degree and the Mars station.
Put all this into perspective with the heavy transits in February and see how major changes can be accomplished during that time. Note that in late January, Mars and Saturn run contra parallel before all these changes, sextiles, and trines become perfect. The late January contra parallel of Saturn and Mars shifts to a parallel in March after Saturn's crossing . HARD WORK AND ORGANIZATION ARE THE KEY to putting the Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto transits to good use.
Next stop for Saturn is near 20' Aries.

CYCLE CHARTS

First of all, Cycle charts are used for Mundane Astrology. A Cycle chart is erected for each planet for a particular place for the moment the planet crosses from South Declination to North Declination. The time used for calculating the chart is when the planet reaches declination 0 degrees N 0'.
Listed below are the 1996 Mundane Cycle Charts for the U.S. All charts have been calculated for Washington DC our nation's capital.

Sun Cycle Chart March 20, 1996 3:04 AM EST, 77W01 39N53
Mars Cycle Chart March 26, 1996 9:55 PM EST
Jupiter Cycle Chart March 13, 1987 1:31 AM EST
Saturn Cycle Chart May 24, 1996 10:37 PM EST
Uranus Cycle Chart March 26, 1969 6:20:04 PM EST
Neptune Cycle Chart March 7, 1944 10:06:26 AM EST
Pluto Cycle Chart Feb. 27, 1988 6:16:25 PM EST

Charts are not calculated for the Moon, Mercury, or Venus.

Mundane information can be read from each chart according to the planet's influence over the particular period.

For example, the 1996 cycle of the Sun (which rules the political agenda, governments and world leaders), is conjunct the Moon, conjunct Mercury, semi square Venus, and conjunct Mars, conjunct Saturn, and sextile Uranus, sextile Neptune and Pluto.

Any planet aspecting the Sun indicates specific areas of the mundane agenda that will attain importance during the life of the chart. Harmonious aspects suggest favorable conditions, and challenging aspects promote problems and difficulties.

The strongest aspect with the Sun is Saturn conjunct the Sun, placing national and international security high on the political agenda. If we look at the Uranus cycle chart and the aspects, it suggests that although our country (the US ) has benefited from many technological discoveries, there may also be a price to pay...Mercury opposition Uranus, (information revolution) Uranus conjunct Jupiter.. We still do not know the effects our new technology including the Internet, etc. will have on human beings..lets hope it is all positive.

A Cycle Chart can be progressed, using the progressions of the planet the chart was based upon. This will indicate the time events will take place.

I hope this gives you an idea of the purpose of Cycle Charts and how they are calculated. For further information you can refer to the book Mundane Astrology by C.C. Zain, Book X111.

Best Regards,
Rose Marie Kempin
