LINDA CHAMLEE BLACK


Linda Black, a California astrologer and syndicated columnist for the Tribune Media Services
in Chicago, died of ovarian cancer at a hospital in Atascadero, CA. She was 65.
Linda had studied and practiced astrology for more than 40 years. She began writing the Daily Horoscope for TMS in 1992 replacing Joyce Jilson. Her column
had over 4,000,000 readers.

Linda grew up in California
and completed her B.A. in English at California Polytechnic State University at
San Luis Obispo in the late 1980s at the age of 45. She wrote for Globe Mini
Mags and Midnight Horoscope and published
her Intro to Astrology, Parts I and II,
in Fate magazine. In addition, Linda was certified by the
American Federation of Astrologers, the Association of Astrological Networking
and the international Society of Astrological Research.

Linda believed that
astrology was a personal tool to resolve one’s issues successfully. Through her website she was able to reach
and help people from around the world. Prior to her death, it was Linda’s wish that her daughter, Nancy
Black, who is also a syndicated writer, continue her legacy and write her daily
column for TMS and her web sites.
