CLASSIC BRITISH ASTROLOGY AUTHORS In
the first half of the Twentieth Century, British astrologers were
often at the forefront of our field. Coming from a very scholarly
tradition, they explored and added to classical astrological knowledge
and greatly influenced astrologers from America and other countries.
Here are a few who should not be forgotten.
Though their books are rare by now, AstroAmerica is a good resource for older and out of print books. If you own any of them, hold onto them for dear life, or donate them to the Seattle Metaphysical Library or Kepler College.
AstroDataBank says he was the British President of the Astrological Lodge of the Theosophical Society in London and edited The Astrology Magazine. As a matter of policy, he rectified every chart by the prenatal epoch. He won the Marc Edmund Jones Award. He was born January 10, 1914 in Bromley, England. His birth information is rated C, his rectification from an approximate time to 8:45 AM GMT. He died on January 21, 1985. ISABELLE PAGAN: She was a Scottish astrologer, writer, and interntional lecturer in the early yeats of the Twentieth Century. Like many on this page, she was a Theosophist. She is best remembered for her text, From Pioneer to Poet, published in 1911. AstroDataBank lists the following data, rated A, from her memory. She was born December 12, 1867, at 5:43 PM LMT in Pupar, Scotland, 56N19; 2W58. She died at the age of 93 on July 2, 1960. VIVIAN ROBSON: AstroDataBank says,

He introduced the radix system of directions and was the editor of 'Old Moore's Monthly Almanac." He was a prolific writer--at least ten of his books are available through AstroAmerica, which also supplied this photograph. He was born on March 30, 1864, at 2:00 AM LMT in Handsworth, England.
