The Wit and Wisdom of John McCormick
The following are some excerpts from John From Beginning
to End, a book Edie Custer put together after her good friend, John McCormick, passed on. They were mainly things he had sent to Mercury Hour over the years.
From a Poem about Ladies of All Twelve Signs:
I never loved a Cancer, but I knew one pretty well,
Her thoughtful ministrations made my life a daily hell.
She washed my socks and pressed my shirts
And baked me cakes and pies,
But finally betrayed me for I would not tell her lies.
I've loved a hundred Leos, they're all about the same.
Life to them is just a role--an endless party game.
They're jungle ladies but they never came to stay.
Enjoy them well on Christmas,
for they're gone on New Year's Day.
From "Gypsy Rose Quincunx's Post Graduate Exam for Astrologers.
