![]() ![]() Suggested by Don Borkowski, Moon Moore was the author of The Book of World Horoscopes, the first reference work to chart the horoscopes of countries. Published in 1981, it was the product of two and a half years of research by Moore and programmer, Tim Browning, his partner in Metaphysical and Astrological Research systems (M.A.R.S.). Although the book is now out of date due to twenty years of rapid change in world government, later mundane research built on this effort. According to the biography he supplied on the book cover, Moon Moore was born July 21, 1949, at 10:02 PM, in Bethesda, MD, but lived in Atlanta from the age of four. He began his astrological studies under Bil Tierney in 1972, and a year and a half later passed the difficult Atlanta Board of Astrology Examiners' test for professional astrologers. In 1974, he became editor of the Atlanta Astrologer, the newsletter for the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society.
Bil adds, "I once offered an astrology class in the early 1970s, at a bookshop, but I almost canceled it when only four people showed up. However, I'm glad I went through with it, since two of my students were Moon Moore and his mother. We had a great time in class, and Moon had a fantastic ability to absorb and assimilate much of what astrology had to offer, and quickly so. When he was the newsletter editor for the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society, he'd write some amazing articles that revealed his deep and imaginative way of looking at astrology. His ability to theorize and provide stimulating ideas seemed unlimited. He was also a very wise and gentle soul."
