IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS that the Northern Illinois chapter of NCGR reports the passing of Patricia Lee Ranger (born March 27, 1947), who passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 9:24 a.m. at her home in Waukegan, IL. Pat was a generous soul and a fine astrologer who was always happiest when sharing her knowledge with others. She donated her time and skills to the astrological community by working in the registration booth at UAC 2008 in Denver, and she was invaluable as the registration coordinator at the ISAR 2009 conference in Westmont IL. Pat was an Amateur Astronomer in addition to being a Certified Astrologer.
Pat was as well known for her distinctive hearty laugh as she was for her beautiful wardrobe and elegant fashion sense. In addition to her astrological studies, she enjoyed her career as a hair and makeup artist and Licensed Cosmetologist, as well as being a Certified Diamondtologist and Guild Gemologist.
For many years Pat was an Ordained Minister, spiritual counselor and guide to hundreds. Her belief was identical to the Russian writer H.P. Blavatsky’s that There’s no religion higher than truth. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Peter Ranger (married Aug. 23, 1976), her daughter, Davita, and son, Damon Ranger and a large and loving extended family. Her obituary in the Chicago Tribune can be found at www.legacy.com/guestbook/ chicagotribune/guestbook.aspx? n= patricia-ranger&pid=152270330&cid=full.
