For his stellar contribution in the field of Astrology,
Prof NN Krishna Rau
was awarded the tiltles of honour
Vidya Visharada & Jyotisha Kalaanidhi
by CC Prakasha (erstwhie Governor of Bombay-1960)
and VV Giri (erstwhile Governor of Madras & Kerala-1961)
and later, the President of India

Prof Rau was a member of the
Astrological Federation of America
till his demise in 1964

His most important contribution to the
field of Astrology
was by way of English translations of

Little known fact about Prof Rau
was that he predicted his own death
writing about it in his wife's horoscope
"her husband, who is running his 59th year, will NOT survive beyond
10th January 1964 under any circumstances."
And he did keep his appointment
and his last words were
Sivananda Saraswtiye Namaha
