DIANA RIVIERE

Diana Riviere, a Boulder, CO astrologer and member of AFAN’s Steering Committee, died in Denver at the age of 58.  In addition to astrology, Diana studied psychology, mythology and physics.  She also ran a small publishing company that focused on ancient texts and alchemy.

Diana was born in Mineola, NY.  Her interest in astrology began after high school, but in college, she majored in both English and Communications.  In addition, she had a background in public relations, sales and marketing.  Diana moved to Colorado in the mid-1990s where she worked as a court mediator for the Jefferson County Mediation Services in Protective Order Mediation and Parental and Custodial Mediation.

Diana served two years on the ISAR Ethics Mediation Committee.  She was a  member of AFAN, ISAR (CAP) and NCGR (Level II).  In Diana’s candidate statement to AFAN’s Steering Committee, she wrote, “My continuing interest in reclaiming astrology as a respected and viable field of study and employment keeps  me on the volunteer path within our organizations.  I believe my skill set is well suited  for this task and would like to see if my services can help to further our profession.”

TRIBUTES:

Diana
Her strength shines
through her tears
enveloping her children
in light and love
that will never escape them.
She plans and plots:
a leader, a mother,
a Sagittarius.
Now ready for allowing
transition.
She teaches us how
to let go.
Diana, hunter and archer,
her symbol, the moon,
will guide her.
The moon's gentle
white light
surrounding and comforting;
it embraces her...
As Diana
embraces all those
who surround her
with outpouring love.
She is white light,
loved,
and she is love.
