DONNA JEANNE SNEED
02/12/1926-04/10/2002
On behalf of the Mercury Hour EGroup, Arlene DeAngelus wrote the following for the
the Astrologer's Memorial:
According to the birth data she provided to Mercury Hour on 02/07/2001,
Donna Jeanne Sneed was an Aquarian born on February 12, 1926 (07:35 AM) in
Peoria, Illinois. She made note of her five Aquarian planets and we find these
planets in the 12th house of hospitals and institutions. Therefore, it’s not
surprising to us that Donna was a licensed practical nurse at the University
Hospital in Columbia, MO until her first retirement in 1988 and her second in
1991.
Survivors include Donna’s daughter, Mary Dowling born in 1950, a
granddaughter, Amanda was born in 1971, and a great-grandson, Jacob, born in 2001 all of
Indianapolis, IN. Preceding her in death were her husband, William Sneed, in
1993, who she married in 1975 and her daughter, Victoria Welch, born in 1952,
who passed away in 1967 of a brain tumor.
In February 1991, Donna had a severe stroke and although she did not lose her
sight or speech, it left her completely paralyzed on the left side. Her
paralysis necessitated that she move into Pinoaks Nursing Home in Mexico,
Missouri where she was confined to a wheelchair.
Although Donna was no longer physically active, she loved reading and
treasured her books. It was not until her daughter gave her a subscription to WebTV as
a Christmas Gift in 1999, that she again came in contact with others with her
same interests. She studied Astrology since 1972, and now she was able to
communicate with other astrologers across the country. Using her right hand and
typing with one finger, Donna’s emails were read by members of the Mercury
Hour EGroup and others.
Donna’s “Starsearcher.com” emails were sometimes lengthy and time consuming for her
to write. Many times she asked others to “Please excuse any typos,” but no
one really noticed them. When told of her passing on April 10, 2002, we were
all saddened and her emails are greatly missed.
