Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) Gotu kola

Possible applications:

Many people mistake Gotu for the cola bean which has caffeine.  Gotu does not have caffeine and has been used since prehistoric times to heal wounds and relieve leprosy.  Modern research has shown that these remedies work effectively for this treatment.    The healing of the cells of connective tissue, particularly the perivascular sheath, are enhanced by Gotu kola which aids in blood flow, particularly in the limbs.   80% of those in clinical trials experienced improvement in symptomatology after usage.  An extract known as total triterpenoid fraction of Centella asiatic (TTFCA) has been shown to be a highly effective means of dosing and indicates good tolerance when taken orally although there is some dermatitis when used topically.
