Disorders of the GI tract
General Information:
- Responsible for nutrient digestion and absorption as well as removal of nonessentials.
- Disorders include diarhhea and constipation and in the more chronic form; diverticulitis.
In a disorder of this type, eight to ten glasses of water a day should be consumed. The water should not be substituted by any other fluid. One may drink other fluids, but do not count those fluids as water. Make certain that the water is consumed as water.
Eight cups of coffee or juice do not constitute or substitute for eight glasses of water. Acidopholus is very helpful.
