During the last week of December, 1995, Kt Boehrer asked me to put together a software converter as a companion to her book; DECLINATION: The Other Dimension. I conceded, and I'd like to pass along a little bit of what this conversion process is all about, for those who are curious about what is meant by declination conversion, as opposed to strictly tropical longitude.

Basically, we look at the position of the planet by declination. It must fall somewhere along the ecliptic. Since that point is relative to its distance from the earth's equator, which is not along the ecliptic, we convert it to a point that is along the ecliptic.

Subsequently, we get a point that is close to the planet's longitude (in some cases it is exactly the same) and this point may fall in juxtaposition to another planet by either declination or longitude. Since we are aware that parallels are like strong conjunctions, then two planets whose declination is the same would be similar to being conjunct. Since the declination is converted to longitude, it is easy to "see" where those planets lie via their declination and thus their relative position to other planets in the chart via longitude. You can purchase this software (VISA or MC) for $30 (includes S&H) from:
