Vitamin E
General Information:
- Present in seeds, whole grains, wheat germ - wheat germ oil is undoubtably one of the best sources. Vitamin E is safe when taken in large amounts, even when taken over long periods of time.
- Destroyed in the body by mineral oil laxatives, iron medications, from heat while cooking and from lengthy storage in a freezer.
- Requirements are 12 IU per day. (*1960)
