Vitamin K
General Information:
Responsible for maintaining the blood's clotting system. Without Vitamin K we would bleed to death.
Present in cabbage, cauliflower, soybeans, spinach and liver (many others).
Destroyed in the body by mineral oil laxatives, impaired absorption of fats\ within the digestive tract (GI tract) - also by antibiotics and by certain liver disorders.
Requirements are 60 - 80 micrograms per day.
